Ledehornady Lock N Load AP

The Hornady Lock-N-Load AP is designed to allow shooters to spend less time at the bench and more time at the range or in the field, thanks to advanced ergonomics and reloading efficiencies. This professional-grade, five-station reloading press can load up to 500 rounds per hour and delivers smooth, responsive operation. Its rugged construction and ample power set the Lock-N-Load AP apart from the competition.

Understanding that bench space is crucial, Hornady designed the Lock-N-Load AP with efficiency in mind. Its automatic indexing and patented five-station quick change bushing system allow reloaders to switch calibers from .223 up to .45 in less than five minutes. Dies lock securely in place with a twist and six locking lugs, making caliber changes fast and repeatable.

The Power-Pac Linkage System multiplies leverage applied to the handle, giving reloaders smooth, powerful operation with less effort. The Lock-N-Load Powder Measurer adds another layer of convenience with quick change metering inserts that swap powders at the push of a button. Add one to each die set for maximum efficiency. Combined with automatic indexing, priming, and ejection, every pull of the handle produces a precisely loaded round.

Switching from large to small primers is fast and easy with a simple three-step process: change the primer seater punch, swap the primer shuttle and replace the feed tube. Integrated quick change systems ensure fast caliber swaps, making transitions between loads simple and effortless.

Finished cartridges eject with every stroke via the Ezjact System. If adjustments are needed mid-process, the universal case retainer spring provides fast, easy access to any case at any stage.

Member's Hunt: Patience is Tough When You Shoot a Big Buck

My phone still in my hands, I texted my teenage son, who was hunting along the field not far away. Trying not to move any part of my body but my thumbs, I sent the message, “Got a buck down, but he’s still alive. Help!” Tucker texted back, “What do you want me to do?” I replied: “Come kill the bastard before he kills me!” Intrigued? Read on.

Behind the Bullet: The .308 Norma Magnum

Norma’s ballistician Nils Kvale saw the wisdom of having the velocity and horsepower of the .300 H&H Magnum, but in a shorter, more affordable receiver, and used the H&H case to develop his .358 Norma Magnum in 1959 as well as the .308 Norma Magnum one year later. The .308 Norma Magnum closely resembles the wildcat .30-338 cartridge, though the shoulder of the former is located a bit more toward the base than that of the .308 Norma Magnum. Intrigued?
