Cyclops has introduced a new multi-light headlamp designed for the grab-and-go adventurist, or for hunters looking for a hands-free way to navigate the nighttime deer woods.

The eFlex 400 features a rugged ABS housing secured to an adjustable headband. Left- and right-side soft-touch switches and a pivoting head blend ergonomics with function. Powering the eFlex 400 is a 3.7V/400mAh rechargeable battery. Dual light sources allow the user to customize the illumination to meet specific tasks. The primary light comes courtesy of a 400-lumen Cree XP-G3 super bright 4W LED, while the secondary LED allows switching between red, green, blue, and white light. High (2.5-hours run time), medium, and low (10 hours) illumination allows you set the right amount of light for the job while maximizing battery life, and an SOS strobe mode is included.

For more information on the eFlex 400, which boasts an IPX5 waterproof housing, making it suitable for use in rain/snow conditions, and comes with a USB charging cable for convenient recharging, check out cyclopssolutions.comMSRP: $32.99

USFWS Proposes New Grizzly Bear Management Rule

On July 17 the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) published a proposed rulemaking change on the Federal Register that, if approved, would allow western states to better manage their grizzly bear population. Despite their burgeoning population the big bruins remain on the “endangered” list under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), a fact that has paralyzed regional conservation efforts, impacted other wildlife populations and dramatically increased human/bear conflicts.
