A new crossbow, from TenPoint, is claimed to be the fastest and narrowest ever released. The new Vengent S440 delivers speeds up to 440 fps, and features the new ACUslide cocking and de-cocking system. Only 5.8-inches wide, the Vengent weighs a half-pound less than previous flagship models from the company.

The ACUslide mechanism is based around the company's Auto-Brake Gear System. While de-cocking with the ACUslide, the user can remove their hand from the handle at any point, with no other action required, to stop the handle in place. The 7 1/2-inch Xtend Adjustable Crank Handle, meanwhile, reduces cocking effort to five pounds, and stows away in the buttstock.

Fueled by RX6-Cams™, the forward draw bow assembly is the difference maker for the Vengent S440. The cam rotates 360-degrees to improve speed, while the Vector-Quad™ cable system technology utilizes four cables instead of the traditional two, to eliminate cam lean and generate straight-nock travel.

To release shots, TenPoint has included an S1 trigger. This 2-stage, zero-creep design features a roller-sear system, designed to deliver a consistent 3.5 lb. pull. For safety, the trigger is equipped with a Dry-Fire-Inhibitor (DFI), and is fitted with a nylon-filament arrow retention brush to improve arrow grip and alignment while reducing noise and vibration. An integrated string stop is included to reduce noise and vibration further.

Finally, the Vengent has a 20-inch Micro-Trac fluted aluminum barrel, which reduces flight deck surface by 50%. This is fastened to an ultra-light, two-piece Tech-X stock, which combines with a RangeMaster Pro Scope to yield perfect eye-level adjustment.

The Vengent S440 comes in Veil Alpine Camo or Graphite Gray, ships completely assembled, and includes an extensive Ready-to-Hunt package. The package includes: an ACUslide cocking and de-cocking system; a RangeMaster Pro Variable Speed Scope; a Blazer Soft Crossbow Case; a six-pack of EVO-X CenterPunch Carbon Crossbow Arrows; an integrated string stop system; and a six-arrow Tech quiver.
