Smith & Wesson Performance Center has expanded its rimfire line-up with the addition of two rifles built around the T/CR22 action. Both new rifles are chambered in .22 LR and sport a 20-inch heavy contour, button-rifled barrel on one of two stocks: a Houge Overmolded Thumbhole stock or an Altamont Laminated Thumbhole stock.

Additional features include a crisp trigger, threaded muzzle, oversized bolt handle, stainless steel bolt and a built-in picatinny rail. Both rifles will utilize and ship with one T/CR22 10-round rotary magazine with last shot bolt hold open feature, and are compatible with most 10/22 aftermarket parts and accessories.

“For the second time in 2018, the Performance Center has partnered with Thompson/Center to develop the Performance Center T/CR22, a new, cutting-edge rimfire offering.  Building upon the success of the Thompson/Center T/CR22 rifle, we have designed and developed this specialized rifle for competitive shooting and small-game hunting, engineered to deliver the supreme accuracy and ergonomics that Performance Center is known for,” said Tony Miele, General Manager of the Performance Center.

The Performance Center T/CR22 Houge Overmolded Thumbhole Stock has an MSRP of $497, and the Performance Center T/CR22 Altamont Laminated Thumbhole Stock has an MSRP $616.
