Nikon has expanded its laser rangefinder line with the addition of its new Prostaff 7i. The pocket-sized rangefinder incorporates the company's ID (incline/decline) Technology and is designed to provide precision, speed and consistency out to 1,300 yards.

Nikon says that ProStaff 7i readings are accurate to +/- .5 yard at 600 yards or less, to +/- 1 yard from 600 yards to less than 1000 yards, and to +/- 1.5 yards at 1000 yards and over. The rangefinder will display ranges in .1-yard increments. It features the company's Hyper Read technology, which rapidly displays distance readings, regardless of how far away a target may be.

The ID technology has become a regular addition to all of Nikon's rangefinders, and rightfully so, given its ability to present a proper horizontal distance based on incline or decline shooting angles. Try-Target Technology, which allows users to toggle between ranging modes with little effort, is also included.

The new Prostaff 7i will retail for $299.95. It features a waterproof design, for maximum durability.
