The Model 48
New for 2010, Nosler introduces the Model 48 Trophy Grade rifle (TGR), the Nosler Custom Model 48 Varmit rifle in .204 Ruger and .223 Rem. and four new chamberings for the line of Model 48 Sporter rifles.

First up is the Trophy Grade rifle. Designed with the same quality and craftsmanship as its predecessors, the Model 48 TGR features the proven action, a free-floating 24-inch chrome-moly barrel and a crisp, 3-pound Rifle Basix trigger.

In the tradition of the award-winning Model 48, the TGR is built for hunting in wet weather. All exterior metal surfaces are protected by a special application of Cerakote, while the critical interior working parts are protected by a smooth, corrosion-resistant coating of MicroSlick. To ensure rugged reliability, the whole package is custom aluminum bedded in a Bell and Carlson composite stock.

When teamed-up with Nosler’s famous Trophy Grade ammunition, hunters can expect sub MOA performance for three-shot groups at 100 yards. For 2010, Nosler will offer the Model 48 TGR in nine big game calibers, with suggested retail prices of $1745.95 for short-action models and $1895.95 for long-action models.

Next are the two new chamberings that have been added to the line of Nosler Custom Model 48 Varmint rifles: the .204 Ruger and .223 Rem. These calibers have been included to fully compliment Nosler’s Varmint Rifle series.

The Model 48 Varmint features a matte black Cerakote finish on all exterior metals along with a MicroSlick Coating that is applied to all interior metals, including inside the bolt body, firing pin, and firing pin spring for maximum corrosion and wear-resistance.

Last but not least are the four new chamberings thathave been added to the line of Nosler Custom Model 48 Sporter rifles for 2010. Added this year are the ever popular staples of long time rifle tradition: .243 Win, .270 Win, .30-06. Springfield and of course the .300 Win Mag.

Also new for 2010, the stock exterior will feature a Teflon coating for increased grip and protection in all weather conditions.

The MSRP for the NoslerCustom Model 48 is $2,995 in short action and $3,195 in long action.
