By the time Arkansas’ two-weekend alligator season wrapped up in the predawn light on Sept. 29 hunters had tallied 205 alligators.

Pennsylvania hunters harvested about 11-percent more deer in the 2024-25 hunting seasons than they did the year before, according to Pennsylvania Game Commission estimates released late last month.

Hunters across Ohio checked 238,137 white-tailed deer during the 2024-25 hunting season that concluded in early February, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife.

Statewide harvest 10-percent higher than the five-year average

Arkansas hunters managed the second-highest harvest of alligators on record during September’s season in the sloughs and swamps of The Natural State.
