This week, we’re taking a closer look at the Franchi Instinct Sideplate. A fashionable update of the Franchi Instinct, the sideplates of the aptly named shotgun bear fine engravings and gold inlay in color-case-hardened steel. A Prince of Wales stock and Schnabel fore-end are constructed from AA-grade walnut and boast aggressive checkering for a firm hold. Twenty-eight-inch glossy blued barrels have ventilation between them, and a vented top rib which sports a red fiber-optic front tube at its terminus. Learn more about this exquisite upland gun in the video embedded above, hosted by Editor in Chief Scott Olmsted. MSRP: $2,229; franchiusa.com.
