LEDE MDT Bipods

MDT Sporting Goods Ltd. is proud to announce the launch of two purpose-built bipods designed for serious mountain hunters: the Mountain Bipod and the Backcountry Bipod. Developed to meet the demands of ounce-counting backcountry hunters, these new additions push the limits of lightweight durability without sacrificing field-ready performance.

The MDT Mountain and Backcountry Bipods are the result of field testing in some of the harshest hunting conditions on earth—designed in the unforgiving New Zealand backcountry and refined for serious North American terrain. Both bipods offer hunters stability and rugged performance in ultralight packages, helping make every ounce in the pack count.

Behind the Bullet: The .308 Norma Magnum

Norma’s ballistician Nils Kvale saw the wisdom of having the velocity and horsepower of the .300 H&H Magnum, but in a shorter, more affordable receiver, and used the H&H case to develop his .358 Norma Magnum in 1959 as well as the .308 Norma Magnum one year later. The .308 Norma Magnum closely resembles the wildcat .30-338 cartridge, though the shoulder of the former is located a bit more toward the base than that of the .308 Norma Magnum. Intrigued?
