The new TrueTimber AirPack inflatable ground blind line is based around a new, lightweight structure. Unlike the majority of its similarly framed predecessors, built around rod-and-pole frames, the TrueTimber AirPack lineup of blinds is supported by air-filled beams, lending support while maintaining a lightweight and flexible nature. The line, expected to become available in mid-2020, will be crafted from many different material options and TrueTimber camouflage patterns.
In terms of portability, the AirPack fits into an included backpack of a standard size, also in TureTimber camo, weighing between 15- and 22-pounds. A one-handed silent air pump is also included. Once setup, AirPack blinds are designed to withstand wind, heavy-ice or snow accumulation, as well as other elements that damage and destroy conventional ground blinds with rods or poles. The air technology and flexible components in the AirPack blind allow it to bend and partially collapse to prevent damage from buildup of snow or falling debris, then regain its shape once the buildup is removed. Additionally, the kit includes patches that can quickly and easily be applied in the field.
