Just a little ways south of Mexicali, we found our hunting grounds. Thick fields of milo would be where we chased pheasant, a fact that made for more than a few long, difficult walks. Fortunately, we prevailed.
Fittingly, perhaps, given that we were in Mexico, our shotguns were loaded with shotshells from Aguila Ammunition. Pictured here among a pile a pheasants is one of the company's 20-gauge, high velocity offerings.
There's no shortage of upland bird hunting destination spots in North America—that much is true. But opportunities for maximum trigger time abound if you're willing to venture south of the border a ways. It's with that in mind that Digital Managing Editor Shawn Skipper recently joined Aguila Ammunition and TriStar Arms for a wingshooting adventure near Mexicali, Mexico.
