This week, we’re taking a closer look at the CVA Paramount HTR. Designed for "super magnum" charges of Blackhorn 209 like all Paramounts, the HTR boasts a slightly lighter stock than the original, yet still features an adjustable comb for optimal cheek weld. Coming in .40- or .45 caliber, the HTR can produce a muzzle velocity of 2740 fps in the former caliber, and 2560 fps in the latter. For more information on this incredibly fast muzzleloader, check out the video embedded above, hosted by Senior Executive Editor Scott Olmsted and Digital Associate Editor David Herman. MSRP: $1225; cva.com
