LEDE Ratchet Rest

Real Avid has announced the Ratchet Rest—Adjustable Height Shooting Bags designed to give shooters exact elevation control, faster target alignment and repeatable shooting performance. By integrating mechanical height adjustment directly into the shooting bag, the Ratchet Rest eliminates the limitations of traditional fixed bags and allows shooters to fine-tune positioning without breaking shooting position.

At the core of the Ratchet Rest is Real Avid's Accu-Click technology, a precision ratcheting mechanism that enables controlled compression or rapid decompression of the bag while the shooter remains behind the firearm. This micro-adjustable capability allows precise elevation changes and exact sight alignment, supporting consistent point-of-aim and point-of-impact.

Constructed for durability and field use, the Ratchet Rest features a rugged canvas-style shell with a waxed canvas top that grips the firearm and a rubberized base that prevents movement under recoil. Heat-resistant stitching protects against muzzle blast, while the poly bead fill maintains consistent support shot after shot. Reinforced carry straps and Molle attachment points ensure easy transport and field readiness.

The Ratchet Rest is available in three purpose-built sizes to support precise front and rear elevation control. The Front Rest (Large) adjusts from 7 to 9.5 inches, the Front/Rear Rest (Medium) adjusts from 3.35 to 5.25 inches, and the Rear Rest (Small) adjusts from 2.5 to 3.75 inches. Together, these configurations allow shooters to create a fully adjustable, stable shooting platform suitable for benchrest, long-range precision and field shooting applications.

On this week's #SundayGunday, we’re checking out a true stalwart of the firearms world, the Benelli M4. Why? Well, as it turns out, there is very little that separates a good defensive shotgun from a good turkey gun. Learn more about it in this exclusive video.

Recipe: Crispy Sticky Venison

This recipe is a great way to turn a simple venison roast into something that tastes as if it came from your favorite takeout place. The meat becomes tender on the inside and crisp on the outside, and the sticky sauce brings together sweet, salty and spicy flavors. Serve it over a bed of rice and watch it disappear.
