New for 2025: Smith & Wesson 1854 Stealth Hunter

While last year’s launch of the Smith & Wesson’s 1854 lever-action rifle had folks clamoring to get their hands on one of the traditional walnut-stocked or black-synthetic-stocked pistol-caliber rifles, for 2025 the company has upped the appeal even more with the launch of the feature-rich 1854 Stealth Hunter.

Available chambered in .44 Mag., .357 Mag., or .45 Colt, the 1854 Stealth Hunter features an all-black appeal that looks as menacing as the hunter wielding it. Sporting a black synthetic stock with textured grip panels, and a 16.3-inch 410 stainless steel barrel—threaded and capped for the addition of a suppressor or muzzle device—with a black finish on the metal parts, this lever-action measures out to a whopping 33.4-inches in total length, making it nimble and fast-acting. Perfect for carry through thick brush or to hunt with from a blind or stand, the rifle features a flat trigger that provides consistent finger placement and a steady pull, a large-loop lever that rocks smooth and is functionable with gloved hands, a side gate loading port and a removeable magazine tube for safe and easy unloading.

Additional upgrades include a 10.5-inch Picatinny rail for mounting optics like a red-dot or low-powered variable optic, and a newly designed T6 aluminum fore-end complete with 15 M-Lok compatible slots for the attachment of a variety of accessories. A barrel-mounted Hi-Viz H3 fiber-optic front sight sits out front for improved iron-sight visibility and a ghost-ring rear sight is seated on the rear of the optics rail.
