Savage Arms has debuted the latest rifle in its well-loved 110 series at the 2024 SHOT Show: the 110 Ultralight Elite. A stripped down chassis rifle designed for hunters who want to push it in the backcountry, the 110 Ultralight Elite includes only the things necessary for success in the field, and nothing that isn't.

It starts, of course, with the blindingly accurate 110 action. Factory blueprinted for the most potential precision, the action is mated with a Proof Research Carbon Fiber Wrapped Stainless Steel Cut, the muzzle of which is threaded to 5/8x24 TPI for the addition of a suppressor. The gun's lightweight steel receiver is drilled and tapped with 8-40 screws for the addition of an optic, though a 20-MOA Picatinny rail does come mounted from the factory, to make this process even easier.

Next comes the piece which really sets the gun apart from other Model 110s—its MDT HNT26 Chassis. This folding-stock chassis cuts down on the gun's weight and size, while still boasting a fully adjustable comb, and an adjustable length of pull (LOP) utilizing four spacers. It is filled with foam, to maintain strength without adding weight. Its fore-end, meanwhile, is carbon fiber with an integrated Arca rail for mounting a bipod, tripod or other such device.

Range Review: Winchester Supreme Long Range Ammo

Winchester's latest ammunition line is the Supreme Long Range centerfire rifle ammo, and that line is built around its BC Max projectile. Using a thick, drawn copper jacket, steep boattail at the rear and a relatively oversized polymer tip, the BC Max bullet is built for resisting wind deflection and retaining energy downrange.
