Marlin has debuted its 1895 Dark Series of lever-action firearms, along with several other additions to the 1895 family, at the 2024 SHOT Show. With a nylon-reinforced polymer stock, boasting M-LOK slots for accessory connectivity and QD cups for rapid sling attachment, this is a lever gun for the modern age. A cheek riser is included with the stock, for better eye alignment when an optic is mounted to the large stretch of Picatinny rail atop the gun's receiver and barrel. A ghost ring rear sight and tritium front blade are included for when an optic is not in use. At the stock's rear, a recoil pad absorbs the kick from hard-charging rounds.

Beneath the receiver, a unique lever allows shooters to run the action quickly and comfortably, with a widened bottom for more comfortable cycling. The action is fed by a tubular magazine that loads from a side loading gate, and ejects from a side-mounted ejection port. A bush-button, manual cross-bolt safety engages and disengages the trigger, while a traditional half-cock hammer further contributes to the gun's security.

While major components are Cerakoted, the bolt and lever been nitrided for smooth operation. Moving forward, the barrel stretches 16.17 inches, and is threaded to 11/16-24 TPI for use with a suppressor. The fore-end, like the buttstock, also sports a number of M-LOK slots and QD cups.
