LEDE Hunting Show Attendance

Attendance records have been shattered at this year’s major hunting shows. The latest, Ducks Unlimited’s DUX (Ducks Unlimited Expo), set a new high-water mark in Memphis, Tenn. According to the Commercial Appeal, the July to Aug. 2 event attracted roughly 30,000 attendees. The 2025 event, also held in Memphis, drew a crowd that numbered nearly 20,000.

“DUX continues to exceed expectations and showcase the passion that exists for duck hunting, conservation, and the outdoor lifestyle that brings people together,” said DU Chief Event Fundraising Officer David Schuessler. “While DUX is proudly rooted in our rich waterfowling heritage, the event has become much more than a duck hunting expo.”

NWTF

The National Wild Turkey Foundation’s (NWTF) 50th Convention and Sport Show took place Feb. 12 to 14 in Nashville, Tenn. It drew 94,426 attendees, shattering all of the organization’s previous records.

“Our 50th Convention and Sport Show was a monumental success, and we don’t take a second of it for granted,” NWTF co-CEO Jason Burckhalter said. “It is not lost on us that the energy, enthusiasm and support we witnessed are a direct reflection of the people who believe in and drive our mission. This record-setting event belongs to all who revere the wild turkey and our hunting heritage and work tirelessly to ensure both exist for future generations.”

Wild Sheep Foundation

On Jan. 24 the Wild Sheep Foundation (WSF) held its 49th annual Sheep Show from Jan. 22 to Jan. 24 in Reno, Nev. Shortly after Gray N. Thornton, president and CEO of WSF commented, “We’re still tallying the results, but by all indicators, we broke every measurable metric in attendance and funds raised.”

He was right in that assessment. In 2025, 13,063 people entered the exhibit hall at the event. The figure jumped to 15,038 this year. Registered guests went from 4,781 to 6,641 as well.

Safari Club International

Safari Club International’s 2026 Annual Hunters’ Convention saw a 14.4 percent increase in registered attendees over 2025. This year’s gathering was held Feb. 18 to 21 in Nashville, Tenn.

“This level of growth reflects the resolve of our members,” said Jeff Meyerl, president of Safari Club International. “Hunters understand what is at stake. They are organized, engaged and committed to protecting our heritage and ensuring conservation decisions are guided by science.”

Great American Outdoor Show

NRA’s Great American Outdoor Show takes place annually in Harrisburg, Pa. This year the Feb. 7 to Feb. 15 event drew a staggering 300,000.

The gathering is open to the public and features exhibits, seminars and more from virtually every corner of the outdoor industry—not just hunting. Full details on the next event can be found here.
