Lede 110 Ultralite Elite

Savage Arms has launched its 110 Ultralite Elite rifle. For this precision firearm, Savage has teamed up with proven partners. It starts with a Proof Research carbon fiber-wrapped stainless steel barrel, which saves weight while continuing to promote accuracy. Meanwhile, Mhttps://mdttac.com/DT has contributed its HNT26 folding carbon fiber stock, allowing for a combination of storable portability and incredibly light weight.

“The 110 Ultralite Elite represents a significant leap forward in our commitment to delivering cutting-edge and innovative firearms to our customers,” said Beth Shimanski, director of Marketing at Savage Arms. “We are thrilled to partner with Proof Research and MDT to create a firearm that combines exceptional accuracy and durability with a lightweight design. The 110 Ultralite Elite is built to match the conditions of any extreme outdoor trek and can provide hunters with a tool to tackle any big game pursuit.”

At right around five pounds unloaded—a fairly incredibly measurement—the 110 Ultralite Elite is designed to combat elevation and elements while maintaining the performance of a factory blueprinted Savage 110 action. The folding buttstock reduces the overall length by nine inches when folded, and allows for ease of transport in the backcountry. The carbon fiber-wrapped stainless steel barrel further contributes to this weight savings, while maintaining the rigidity necessary for a precise shot.

In terms of features, the 110 Ultralight boasts the full suite found on Savage rifles. The muzzle is threaded to 5/8x24 TPI for the fast and easy addition of a suppressor, and comes from the factory with an Omniport muzzle brake installed. A three-position tang safety allows the bolt to be locked shut when hiking, so the rifle does not accidentally eject a round if it bumps against a tree or other obstacle. The AccuTrigger is user-adjustable from 1.5 to 4 pounds, with a consistent break no matter the weight. The action is fed from a detachable AICS-pattern magazine, while the action is charged via a carbon fiber bolt knob. LOP and comb height are both adjustable, and optics can be easily attached via a 20-MOA Picatinny rail atop the receiver.
