Since 1973 the National Wild Turkey Federation has fought to conserve wild turkeys and protect the hunting heritage. In 2016, the organization is asking for your help. More specifically, it's asking members—both current and prospective—to "Rise and Fly" and help spread the mission's good word.

A new video, titled #RiseAndFly, was launched Thursday, Feb. 11 at the kickoff of the organization's annual convention and sport show. It outlines the NWTF's goals over the next decade, which include:

• Conserve or enhance 4 million acres of the most critical upland wildlife habitat.
• Recruit 1.5 million hunters who are committed to keeping the tradition alive.
• Open access to 500,000 additional acres for hunting.

The aforementioned video has been embedded above. The initiative comes on the heels of another major NWTF announcement. At SHOT Show 2016, the organization announced that it had entered a partnership with venerable camouflage manufacturer Mossy Oak.
