The National Rifle Association of America has announced its 2025 subsidy program for Hunters for the Hungry (HFH) organizations in the United States by making $100,000 available.

On Friday, November 1, 2024, the National Rifle Association of America and its members will celebrate the start of the second annual “Wild Game Meat Donation Month” to encourage all hunters to donate extra venison or other game meat to help provide meals for those in need.

The NRA Hunters’ Leadership Forum (HLF) announced last month that $100,000 is available in 2024 for the Hunters for the Hungry (HFH) subsidy program.

It’s no secret the NRA has been a leading advocate of Hunters for the Hungry programs since the early 1990s. This November, we advance our advocacy and celebrate our creation of National Wild Game Meat Donation Month to inspire hunters everywhere to share surplus game.

This November, the NRA and its members will celebrate the first-ever “Wild Game Meat Donation Month” to encourage all hunters to donate extra venison or other game meat to help provide meals for those in need.

The NRA Hunters' Leadership Forum has announced the return of support for the Hunters for the Hungry subsidy program. A total of $60,000 has been committed to fund HFH affiliates throughout the country to cover the cost of processing, shipping and distributing donated meat. 

The Hunters Helping the Hungry program has received a $1,500 grant award from National Rifle Association Hunters for the Hungry, to aid the program in helping Nebraskans in need.

The NRA Hunters' Leadership Forum (HLF) is pleased to announce a new level of support for Hunters for the Hungry (HFH), including the creation of a $50,000 fund available to affiliates throughout the country.

Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry is advising hunters who plan to donate venison to their local Hunters for the Hungry program—along with hunters who plan to have their deer processed professionally—to avoid frustrating surprises by checking with their local butchers for any changes to their operations.
