More than 200,000 hunters, shooters, anglers, RVers and virtually every other flavor of outdoor enthusiast will attend NRA’s Great American Outdoor Show (GAOS). It opens Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pa., and is the place to be if you want to see your favorite pursuit’s latest and greatest, book a trip and more.

GAOS is the solar system’s largest gathering of sportsmen and women each year. NRA understands crowds aren’t everyone’s thing, though. The show runs nine full days (until Feb. 15), reducing any concern about long lines or scheduling conflicts.

To say there’s something for everyone is understatement. There will be more than 1,000 exhibitors spread across 650,00 square feet in the complex. Nine halls will feature firearms, archery equipment, fishing gear, boats, RVs and more. If you’re looking to book a hunt or fishing trip, over 200 guides and charter captains will be showcasing their services.

The event isn’t just about shopping, though. The Pennsylvania Lumberjack Championships will be held Feb. 7 to Feb. 11 at GAOS. Add the DockDogs Competition, Kids Casting Contest, Eastern Elk Calling Championships, 3D Bowhunter Challenge and other events throughout the show.

Dozens of seminars and demonstrations will also take place during the event, featuring some of your favorite outdoor celebrities. Everything from big-game hunting, firearms, predator calling, fishing, turkey tips and wildgame cooking will be covered.

NRA is all about family and there’s plenty for the children. There’s the kids trout pond, rock-climbing wall, airsoft shooting experience, face painting, the Eddie Eagle Safety Movie and basketball court and others. Activities to keep them excited and busy abound at GAOS.

Is that special someone not sure they want to attend? Mention the pair of NRA Country Concerts going on during GAOS. On Feb. 13 Zach Williams and Megan Woods take the stage. Tucker Wetmore and Larry Fleet will perform on Feb. 14.

NRA has even set up an app to navigate the show floor and seminar with ease, It’s the best way to ensure you don’t miss anything of interest and available on Google Play and Apple’s App Store.
