Last month, Sierra Bullets announced its 2026 new product lineup. Beginning in early 2026, all new products will be available at stocking dealers, major retail sporting goods stores, their websites and SierraBullets.com.

“Throughout 2024 and early 2025, we have been listening to the valuable feedback of our customers and consumers. Sierra has been focused on high ballistic coefficient (“BC”), heavy-for-caliber offerings and expanding our family offerings,” said Andrew Sparks, VP of Marketing & Business Development. “We have heard our consumer base loud and clear and are excited to deliver what they’ve been shouting for.”

Sierra’s Varminter line is changing to Sierra VarmintKing, and Sierra’s BlitzKing family is getting re-classified as the Sierra Tipped VarmintKing. Nothing about the products are changing—these are the exact same bullets the market has grown to trust and love. The product family names are being updated to better align with current naming conventions. This change improves clarity across the product lineup, strengthens brand recognition by reinforcing the “King” association with Sierra rifle products and makes product features more immediately identifiable. Rollout will be in early January.

Tipped VarmintKing

For rifles, these bullets are designed for explosive expansion in varmints and small game and with accuracy characteristics of MatchKing bullets. The nose tips of these bullets are made of a proprietary acetyl resin compound, and the sharp tips improve the ballistic coefficient over the traditional flat-base spitzer bullet design. This bullet has a boat tail to further increase the ballistic coefficient. The jackets are thin for enhanced accuracy and explosive expansion but are capable of withstanding high velocities.

Offerings:

  • 20 cal 36 grain—100 pack (SKU 1036), 500 pack (SKU 1036C)
  • 22 cal 69 grain—100 pack (SKU 7170), 500 pack (SKU 7170C)

Tipped GameKing

These are hunting bullets that combine Sierra’s match accuracy with deadly penetration. Sierra re-engineered its legendary MatchKing hollow point bullet into a polymer green tipped design for quick expansion and ballistic uniformity. Inside, the TGK features a unique construction that utilizes a special lead alloy surrounded by a tough copper jacket that delivers excellent penetration and expansion at a variety of ranges.

Offerings:

  • 22 cal 69 grain—100 pack (SKU 7171), 500 pack (SKU 7171C)
  • 25 Cal 131 grain—100 pack (SKU 7331), 500 pack (SKU 7331C)
  • 30 Cal 195 grain—100 pack (SKU 4695), 500 pack (SKU 4695C)

Tipped MatchKing

The market has been shouting for heavy-for-caliber additions to this family, and Sierra Bullets is delivering! As with the MatchKings, they are designed for maximum accuracy as the utmost goal. With the proprietary acetyl resin tips added and ogive dimension changes, the ballistic coefficient is even further enhanced to increase down-range performance. Built with the same quality and integrity of the Sierra MatchKing reputation.
