If you are like me, during hunting season the entire rear cab of the truck becomes a second “office” with gear strung everywhere. Storing it in the bed is a no-go even with a bed cover due to moisture and it rattling all over the place. Plano came up with a great solution that will remedy storage and transport issues for any outdoorsman or woman that shoots, hunts, traps, fishes or camps.
A Molle board is available for the GoNow boxes and tucks under the lid for out of the way storage.
I tried out the GoNow box in large (19 gallons) and small (eight gallons). I also got the MOLLE board, cup holder, lid keeper and gun-cleaning rest. These items integrate easily into the boxes.
The large box is 31.8"L X 19.7"W X 12.5"H and under 16-pounds empty and comes with a storage tray and four removable dividers, an internal divider and four labels. The small box is 20"L X 15.6"W X 12.2"H, just over 10 pounds, and comes with the same features and accessories. The large box has four snap latches to firmly seal the lid, while the small one has two end latches. Both are waterproof with a rubber seal inside the lid. Both have dual hinge latches to remove the lid entirely. Both have QuickLink attachment points for accessories, and both have rubber feet that are substantial enough that the boxes shifted very little on my mile long, pothole filled gravel driveway with me driving faster than I probably should. That I really liked. These boxes stack well on each other too. One of the cool things about these boxes is that you can further organize with other Plano boxes inside the main box if you want. The large box will be great to put all my hunting clothing and boots in it, so once I tear out of the parking lot at work to sneak in a quick hunt before dark, my pants, shirt, boots, boat and other accessories are all in one place out of sight and air and watertight. Did I mention that you can lock these boxes too? I sat on one box while examining the other without realizing maybe I should not do that at 210 pounds. Turns out, I shouldn’t have worried! The boxes support up to 300 pounds.

So what accessories are available? Bottle opener, cutting board, MOLLE board, gun rest, lid keeper, and rod holders. You can get these items individually, or get the boxes as kits with accessories. There are four kits—a Freshwater Fish Kit, Saltwater Fish Kit, Hunt Kit and Camp Kit. The fishing kits come with four Plano storage boxes, two rod holders, internal divider and tray with labels, and a cutting board. The hunt kit has an ammo box, gun cleaning rest, lid keeper, MOLLE board, the tray with four dividers, a large divider for the main box and four labels.

The Plano GoNow box is a winner in my opinion. I wish I had these years ago. I plan on getting the fish kit soon. This will compact what I take on surf fishing trips or trips to the lake or river. Even though I have a range on my property, I plan on packing one box with my range test items and putting it in the truck bed before I drive the few hundred yards to the range.
