LEDE 7Mm Backcountry Dies

RCBS has announced the launch of its new 7mm Backcountry Die Set. Engineered specifically to meet the demands of reloading this high-performance cartridge, the RCBS 7mm Backcountry Die Set is a unique three-die system that includes a neck sizer die, expander die and bullet seater die. The set delivers enhanced control, consistency and accuracy when reloading 7mm BC and its patented Peak Alloy cartridge case.

RCBS also recently published instructional information on the unique reloading process and safety information for handloading 7mm BC on RCBS.com's Reloading Hub.

This die set was developed alongside Hodgdon Powder Company's new Accurate High Country powder, which features an engineered burn speed tailored specifically for maximizing the performance of 7mm BC. Accurate High Country also is an excellent choice for similar cartridges shooting heavy-for-caliber bullets such as 7 PRC, 28 Nosler, 270 Winchester Short Magnum, 300 Winchester Short Magnum and others.

The new die set and powder are both available and shipping now. For more information, visit RCBS.com or Hodgdon.com.

Behind the Bullet: The .22 Long

Aptly named, these cartridges would survive well into the 20th century, ultimately being conquered by the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. But in certain situations, the .22 Long cartridge still makes good sense, and actually has a few specialized applications.
