LEDE Evoke 450

Christensen Arms has announced the release of the Evoke rifle chambered in powerful 450 Bushmaster.  “The Evoke rifle in 450 Bushmaster from Christensen Arms is a dream come true for hunters,” said Shane Meisel, VP of Marketing for Christensen Arms. “Its ergonomic design and pinpoint accuracy paired with the hard-hitting 450 Bushmaster cartridge make it a perfect fit for the whitetail woods, especially in states where straight-wall rounds open new opportunities. This rifle is going to change the game for a lot of hunters out there.”

The 450 Bushmaster features a straight-wall case design with a rebated rim, a bullet diameter of .452 inches, and a case length of 1.7 inches. This configuration delivers impressive stopping power, with a 250-grain bullet achieving a muzzle velocity of 2,200 fps and 1,879 ft.-lbs. of energy, making it ideal for medium to large game like whitetail deer and black bear.

The straight-wall design has proven to be a game-changer for hunters in states such as Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, and Indiana, where recent legislative changes have legalized straight-wall cartridges for deer hunting in zones previously restricted to shotguns or muzzleloaders. These laws reflect a shift toward allowing cartridges with reduced velocity and range compared to bottlenecked rounds in more densely populated areas, while still providing ample power to ethically harvest whitetail deer. The 450 Bushmaster excels in this role, offering manageable recoil and excellent terminal ballistics.

American Hunter contributor Jace Bauserman says of the 450 Bushmaster, “If you’re looking for a hog, deer, and bear whacker, the 450 Bushmaster is one of the most versatile cartridges out there. If you put your short- to medium-range trust in it, you have a top-end hunting and personal defense caliber that will treat you exceptionally well.” For more information on the Evoke in 450 Bushmaster, visit christensenarms.com
