The maker of the Roxor, a unique ATV we just introduced to readers, is stepping into the ring to fight COVID-19 in its Michigan neighborhood.

Roxor’s parent corporation, Mahindra Automotive North America (MANA), announced recently several actions it plans to execute from its Auburn Hills, Mich., headquarters and manufacturing facility. The company will re-tool manufacturing operations to produce an easy-to-use aspiration box and face shields and masks for local frontline health care workers and first responders. Additionally, a Mahindra food truck will distribute free meals to Oakland County, Mich., health care workers and first responders.

“MANA’s Michigan employees have taken an all-hands-on-deck approach to the COVID-19 fight,” said Rick Haas, president and CEO of Mahindra Automotive North America. “We have a company full of people who love to design and make things and they’re not people who like to stand on the sidelines. We have ideas coming in from across the company and we’re looking hard at all of them.”

MANA asks any essential business in need of personal protective equipment or products during the COVID-19 outbreak to visit its response website, where personnel may complete a form to inquire about quantities and availability.

The company will continue to work closely with local and state officials in Michigan, its congressional delegation, the National Association of Manufacturers and the Michigan Manufacturer’s Association to evaluate what it can do to contribute to the fight.

What’s more, it is launching the “Roxor Delivers” program nationwide to support Roxor dealers hard hit by the economic shutdown in order to deliver Roxor vehicles directly to consumers’ front doors, limiting social interaction.
