Federal Premium has announced the addition of several new shot size offerings to its improved Black Cloud FS Steel with FliteControl Flex lineup, including various new No. 1 and No. 3 loads in both 12- and 20-gauge.

Equipped with Federal’s new FliteControl Flex wad, the new loads deliver improved pattern density and consistency through both ported and standard waterfowl chokes. The wad’s redesigned rear-deploying petals and side-mounted vents stimulate the payload for separation from the wad at the ideal moment for dense, deadly patterns. The Catalyst lead-free primer and clean-burning, temperature-stable propellant drastically reduces residue in the barrel.

New offerings include:
• 12-gauge, 3½-inch, 1½ oz., No. 1, 1500 fps | $36.95 per 25-rnd. box
• 12-gauge, 3½-inch, 1½ oz., No. 3, 1500 fps | $33.95 per 25-rnd. box
• 12-gauge, 3-inch, 1¼ oz., No. 1, 1450 fps | $27.95 per 25-rnd. box
• 20-gauge, 3-inch, 1 oz., No. 1, 1350 fps | $24.95 per 25-rnd. box
• 20-gauge, 3-inch, 1 oz., No. 3, 1350 fps | $24.95 per 25-rnd. box
• 12 gauge, 3-inch, 1⅛ oz., No. 1, 1635 fps, High Velocity | $27.95 per 25-rnd. box

Shipments of the new loads have been delivered to dealers. For more information, go to federalpremium.com.

Three Whitetail Traps to Set for Close Shots

Your whitetail hunting location may be as expansive as a national forest or as small as an uncle’s 40-acre woodlot.
