NRA Outdoors proudly announces SIG Sauer as the Presenting Sponsor of the NRA Outdoors Tactical Carbine class, the premier carbine training course available through the National Rifle Association.

Through the new partnership, SIG Sauer has generously provided 32 SIG 516 Patrol rifles and SIG TANGO4 riflescopes, as well as ammunition for use in the Tactical Carbine classes.

"NRA students will be using some of the finest equipment available thanks to this generous contribution from SIG Sauer," said Josh Powell, the NRA's Chief of Staff and Executive Director of General Operations. "SIG's legendary rifles and precision optics combined with the rigorous training regimen and personalized attention from expert instructors make the NRA's Tactical Carbine Class the best training program on the market."

The NRA Outdoors Tactical Carbine Class is a two-day world-class introduction to defensive tactical shooting. Taught by hand-selected senior-level U.S. military special operations personnel that are federally accredited instructors, this highly specialized class includes firearm safety, detailed understanding of the AR-15 rifle, components and function, marksmanship techniques (static and moving), and real world applicable tactics.

Students who complete the NRA Outdoors Tactical Carbine Class will not only be proficient and knowledgeable with the AR platform, but will have received introductory training on how to analyze complex defensive situations and make appropriate decisions while under duress.

The NRA Outdoors Tactical Carbine Class is offered in two locations; Paw Paw, West Virginia and Hamlin, Texas. NRA Outdoors will host 14 two-day classes in 2017; 10 Level One classes and four Level Two classes. Note: trainees must complete the Level One class prior to enrollment in Level Two.
