Welcome to The Gun Club, where readers can get a taste of life as an NRA editor. As you'll see, it's not all about life behind a desk.

Here's the first salvo, a three-shot group from a .50-caliber muzzleloader. I shot this the other week, in decent winter weather. It demonstrates the potential accuracy of American Hunter's Muzzleloader of the Year, the Traditions Vortek StrikerFire. No, your eyes aren't fooling you: That's three shots touching one another. That's awesome performance, and one of the major factors in our decision to honor this muzzleloader.

You can read all about it in the April print edition of American Hunter.
