Vista Outdoor Breaking Ground on New Utah HQ

Vista Outdoor, Inc., has announced that it plans to eventually break ground on a new corporate headquarters at Station Park in Farmington City, Utah. The company will begin construction on a new facility during the summer of 2015, and expects to complete the project by mid-2016.

Savage Arms has officially announced the release of six new rifle models, all chambered in .338 Federal. The new chambering will be available in the majority of the company's most popular big game rifle platforms.

Hardware: Savage A17

The new Savage A17 uses a delayed blowback action. A small bar in the top of the bolt slides up to fit into a slot in the receiver when the bolt is closed, locking the action. The bar cams back down upon firing to release the bolt and allow the action to cycle, but it delays the action from opening until pressure has dropped to a manageable level.

Stevens Adds 20-Gauge Models to 320 Shotgun Line

Stevens has announced that it will be adding four new 20-gauge models to its 320 line—two field grade versions, and two home-defense models. The 320 pump shotgun has been a popular model for Stevens, which falls under the Savage Arms brand. Shipments of the new 20-gauge models are being delivered now.
