The industry's hottest new releases were on display at SHOT Show 2016 last month. Here's our roundup of some of the year's top new rifle offerings.

Last year Savage Arms wowed consumers with the introduction of its A17—winner of our Golden Bullseye Award for Rifle of the Year—so a line expansion was inevitable. The company delivered the first of what should likely be many A17 variants at SHOT Show. Coming in 2016 are Sporter models of the award-winning rifle.

With all of that in mind, it should come as no surprise that, for 2016, Savage announced a line expansion. In this case, I'm talking about the new A17 Sporter and A17 Target models. Legacy Sports International has announced that its Howa Mini Action will be available in 6.5 Grendel for 2015, making it the first bolt-action of its kind. Current available calibers include .204 Ruger, .222 Rem. and .223 Rem.

At SHOT Show 2016, Weatherby premiered its new Vanguard Camilla, a rifle designed exclusively with the huntress in mind. The company's mission, from the start, was to craft a rifle that was designed from the ground up for women, by women—and not to just make a smaller, pinker version of a standard Vanguard. The result is the Camilla, which is now shipping to stores around the country.

Browning has been making additions to its popular X-Bolt line of late, and this week added the Long Range Hunter model to the list.

German firearms manufacturer Merkel has announced that it will be releasing its new MHR 16 to the American market. Designed to be the company's first "budget" bolt-action, the MHR 16 was designed and manufactured specifically for the expectations of American hunters and shooters.

Savage Arms has introduced a new line of bolt-action rimfire rifles in its new B-Series, which includes 12 caliber options and prices ranging from $281 to $413.
