Steiner Optics introduced the ePredator 8 Riflescope at the 2025 SHOT Show, a cutting-edge optic designed to simplify long-range shooting and hunting with increased accuracy and dependability. Steiner is known for optical clarity and precision, combining advanced technology, rugged durability and seamless connectivity in this innovative riflescope, setting a new benchmark in the world of 8x magnification optics.

At the heart of the ePredator 8 is its real-time ballistics calculator and integrated Heads-Up Display (HUD), eliminating guesswork by delivering precise turret adjustments and a perfectly aligned red dot for every shot. Hunters and shooters can now achieve unmatched accuracy thanks to the scope’s ability to account for environmental factors like air pressure and inclination, ensuring every shot is perfectly dialed in before engaging the trigger.

The Intelligent Hunting Solution (IHS) integrates seamlessly with the Steiner Connect app and the Steiner ePredator LRF 10x42 Laser Rangefinding Binoculars, allowing real-time range and ballistics data to display directly in the riflescope HUD. Simply match the turret setting to the displayed range, align the red dot, and fire with precision—no holdovers or second-guessing.

Built for versatility and durability, the ePredator 8 is compact with a 34 mm tube. Equipped with HD lenses, an 8x zoom and fiber-dot reticle illumination, the ePredator 8 delivers exceptional image clarity, even in low-light scenarios, and remains fully functional without battery power.

The intuitive design features an adjustable brightness overlay display, precise windage and elevation controls, and the ability to customize settings via the app or onboard controls. This riflescope is designed for effortless operation, ensuring that hunters and shooters can focus on their targets, not their gear, and don't have to worry about any calculations.

The Steiner ePredator 8 Riflescope offers precision, visibility, and functionality. It is the perfect tool for long-range hunters and shooters who don’t want to worry about ballistics or calculations. This riflescope is priced at $3,295.99 and, backed by Steiner’s Heritage Warranty, is ideal for hardcore shooters and those new to the game. For more information, visit steiner-optics.com.

USFWS Proposes New Grizzly Bear Management Rule

On July 17 the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) published a proposed rulemaking change on the Federal Register that, if approved, would allow western states to better manage their grizzly bear population. Despite their burgeoning population the big bruins remain on the “endangered” list under the Endangered Species Act (ESA), a fact that has paralyzed regional conservation efforts, impacted other wildlife populations and dramatically increased human/bear conflicts.
