With spring turkey season not too far in the future—all right, you caught us, we're counting down the days—we decided to check out Weatherby's new turkey shotguns for 2012.

With a 21 ¼-inch barrel with removable extended choke tube, the PA-459 Turkey model (shown above) features a short, 13.5-inch length of pull that helps prevent the gun from snagging on your clothing or other gear. Designed for comfort and sure handling, the shotgun’s ergonomic pistol grip-style buttstock has a rubber-textured grip area. Suggested retail price is $499.

Key features of the PA-08 Turkey shotgun (shown above) include its field-tested, easy-to-use pump design and dependable dual action bar system. With an injection molded lightweight stock, the PA-08 Turkey features a removable choke tube that easily screws in or out of the 22-inch barrel. Suggested retail price is $399.
