Weaver has announced the release of its new Premium Modern Sporting Rifle Optics Mount, which is designed exclusively with AR-15 builds in mind.

Weaver, of course, is owned by Vista Outdoor—and thus a sister company of Savage Arms, which just so happened to release its own AR-build rifle line earlier this year. That said, the Premium MSR Optics Mount doesn't discriminate. An anodized Type III hardcoat black matte finish adds protection and blends seamlessly in with your rifle. A sleek design is meant to set optics at the ideal height, with a forward cantilever for AR-15 style rifles. The edges are slightly radiused to prevent snagging.

The new mount will be available in 1-inch, 30mm and 34mm variants. It also features double recoil lugs to lock the mount in place and premium 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum construction. Weighing in at 6 oz., the mount also offers Torx-head screws with three oversized #25 Torx crossbolts with steel-threaded inserts.
