Mathews' Sets Web Traffic Record with its 2015 NO CAM, Chill X and Z2 Launch

It's last but not least, as they say, as I need to mention two more new bows from Mathews 2015 lineup in addition to the revolutionary NO CAM models I blogged about yesterday. But before I do, I learned there was good reason so many of us had trouble getting onto its website on launch day earlier this week. While you'd expect extra traffic over the NO CAM ST technology, Mathews' online content manager Corrine Bundy told me the website got more than 100,000 visits in the first 24 hours!

"The traffic to MathewsInc.Com was unprecedented," she said. "Internally, we all felt the NO CAM ST technology was going to be a home run, but never did we imagine it would go this far out of the park!" (You can check out the buzz at #MathewsNoCam and/or check out this video) "We're very thankful and appreciative of everyone's patience," she added, "as we ramped up even more servers to support MathewsInc.Com's traffic."

Nice problem to have—even if it meant I had to wait longer to read about all the innovation for bowhunters and shooters—which leads to my sharing info on Mathews other two new bows for 2015.

Up first is the Chill X Pro based on the Chill X design, though the Pro takes this hybrid bow up a notch. Now featuring an integral grip ideal for competitive shooters and RockMods for a solid back wall and custom let-off, the 35-inch-axle-to-axle Chill X Pro caters to draw lengths from 25-31 inches, including half sizes and is priced at $1,499.

In today's economy, who doesn't appreciate a high-quality bang-for-less-bucks option? Bowhunters are covered with the new Z2. As you'd guess, it's based on one of Mathews' most popular Solocam bow designs and is compact, lightweight and agile. It sports a 7-inch brace height for extra forgiveness and the popular Reverse Assist Roller Guard for a super-smooth draw while attaining speeds up to 330 fps. Of course, it features the much appreciated Focus Grip and is available in Mathews' latest concealment pattern—Lost OT camo—as well as Lost camo and black.  Hmm… It seems my old Z7 is a bit out of date!  The 30-inch Z2 is available in draw lengths from 25-30, including half sizes and is priced at $849.
