Rudy Garcia of New Mexico recently posted this photo to Delta Waterfowl's Facebook page, and I just had to share it.

"My little buddy!" Garcia wrote. "A duck hunting chihuahua."

Given that the beautiful drake American wigeon shown is nearly as big as the dog, I somehow doubt he retrieved it to hand. But hey, it looks like he's already got the retriever-like vest on—why not?

Garcia later wrote of the dog in the comments section more in terms as a loyal companion than an accomplished duck-fetcher.

"He loves being out there with us," he wrote. "We are a pack. ...I love him just being with us duck hunting."

According to Garcia, "Gizzy" is also well mannered in the blind. I don't know. Have you ever seen one of those things bark?
