Some folks revel in the idea of summertime; the picnics, barbecues and time spent at the beach are simply the best experiences of the year. For us hunters, it can represent a lull in the action.

Ruger has added a new wood stock variant to its popular Ruger American Rimfire line. The addition comes at the behest of customer demands. The stock is made from a hardwood blank in Newport, NH and mated to the .22 LR bolt-action in Mayodan, NC.

The world has been awash in .22 Long Rifle rimfires for decades, but few have been built as solidly as the new CZ 455 Varmint Thumbhole Fluted bolt-action. This “little twenty-two” is hefty, a “real” rifle with real rifle feel and performance to match.
