SHOT Show 2016 won't kick into high gear until tomorrow afternoon, at the earliest, but news is already trickling out. A rifle that the AH staff is already excited to see at Monday's Media Day at the Range is the new A22 Magnum from Savage Arms.

Building off the success of its A17—winner of our Golden Bullseye Award for Rifle of the Year—the A22 Magnum is, as you might expect, chambered for .22 WMR and features the same delayed-blowback semi-automatic action as the original A17. The rifle offers a 10-round rotary magazine, steel receiver and the ever-popular Savage AccuTrigger.

A22 Magnum Features:

• Delayed-Blowback Action
• 10-Round Rotary Magazine
• Button-rifled Barrel
• Steel Machined Receiver
• Rugged Composite Stock
• Two Piece Bases for Scope Mounts

As of yet, that's about all we know about the A22 Magnum. Well that, and that it will ship with an MSRP of $473. You can trust that it'll be one of our first stops at Media Day at the Range. Be sure to stay tuned to our SHOT Show coverage for more details sometime later this week.
