A couple of University of Iowa wrestlers are in the news for doing something really stupid, but hey, maybe all that sucking weight affected their ability to reason.

A Chicago man was concerned, to say the least, when he saw an SUV in a parking lot with a live wild goose locked in the back. So he called police, who later arrested Angel Bautista-Perez, 29, on charges of animal cruelty and possession of a migratory bird.

Dogs have long been accepted as man's best friend, but they're pretty social creatures—they can get along with a lot of different species, given time. Locals in Kansas City, Mo., got a glimpse of that first hand this fall when a local stray befriended the neighborhood whitetail, according to this report from The Kansas City Star.

We've previously discussed the negative impact that house cats can have on upland birds and other critters. Wild felines such as bobcats, on the other hand, are a naturally occurring part of the environment. They are not the same animal, as a Maine woman found out the hard way.
