It's safe to say that the Benelli ETHOS was well-received. Heck, we gave it a Golden Bullseye Award for Shotgun of the Year. So it wasn't much of a surprise when Benelli continued to flesh out the ETHOS line last year with the introduction of a 20-gauge variant. For 2016, the company took things a step further and releasing a 28-gauge ETHOS.

Thanks to advancements in ammunition and new, moderately priced shotguns, the once-obscure 28-gauge is now a top choice for hunts ranging from pheasants in CRP fields to bagging a trophy tom.

For 2022, Benelli raises the bar in the growing sub-gauge movement with the release of the 28-gauge Super Black Eagle 3, featuring a 3-inch chamber.

For 2023, Benelli has broadened the SBE 3 line by adding two new models in 28-gauge.

Federal Ammunition has addedtwo 28-gauge, 3-inch, ¾-ounce loads in shot size No. 3 or 4 to its Black Cloud product lineup.
