We hit the show floor at the 2018 SHOT Show in Las Vegas to give you a peak at four shotguns that beg to be taken afield. While they range in price, we were impressed by the workmanship and dedication that went into making each one.

The new compact, lightweight LTO-Tracker HD features 390x390-pixel, full-circle display with improved resolution. Pushing a button changes color palettes to show heat in different ways, and the unit detects temperatures from -40 to 572 degrees Fahrenheit.

Hunters get their choice of two 10mm 1911-style pistols from Springfield Armory this year: one with a 5-inch barrel and the other with a 6-inch barrel.

Ruger one-ups its popular medium-framed GP100 this year by giving the revolver's cylinder an extra round. The seven-shot GP100 is available in .327 Fed. Mag. and .357 Mag., with barrel lengths of 2.5, 4.2 and 6 inches.

New from Kimber is a Long Slide version of its Stainless Target pistol. Three features make it particularly well suited for handgun hunting: a 10mm Auto chambering, a 6-inch barrel for increased velocity and sight radius, and excellent sights that consist of an adjustable rear notch and a red, fiber-optic front.
