Meet American Hunter's 2016 Shotgun of the Year, the Weatherby Element.

Elevate Stand Company, makers of 100-percent American-made treestands and accessories, has announced the release of its 6.25-pound Element Ultra Treestand.

The new Weatherby Element is the company's first inertia-operated semi-auto shotgun, and it comes with looks and a price bird hunters will love.

Weatherby has been in the shotgun game for a longtime, but it changed its approach last winter when it rolled out the new Element, an inertia-operated semi-auto designed with upland hunters across the nation in mind. For 2016 the folks in Paso Robles have plans to put their new shotgun in the hands of even more scattergun aficionados, with the impending introduction of the Element Synthetic and Element Waterfowler.

Combining battery power with the in-field reliability of a solar cell, the Element Mini Solar, from Sightmark, is a red dot that has the option of running off a single CR2032 battery or solar energy.

Weatherby is known for rifles, but the company has darn nice shotguns, too.
