Bergara combines a nimble, sporter-style stock with a precision, No. 5 contour barrel in the B-14 Ridge. Like all B-14 rifles, which are made at the Bergara factory in Spain, the action in the Ridge has a two-lug bolt with a sliding-plate extractor and a coned nose for smooth feeding. The Ridge also has a hinged floorplate and a trigger with a pull weight that's set at the factory for about 3 pounds. The 4140 chro-moly steel barrel, also made by Bergara and featuring a honed bore, is threaded to accept a suppressor. The barreled action is pillar-bedded in the synthetic stock, which has a SoftTouch coating to improve handling. The B-14 Ridge is offered in .22-250 Rem., .243 Win., 6.5 Creedmoor, .270 Win., .30-06 Sprg., 7mm Rem. Mag. and .300 Win. Mag., all with a 24-inch barrel, and .308 Win. with a 22-inch barrel. Weight is 7.9 pounds with the shorter barrel and 8.1 pounds with the longer one. MSRP: $865.
