Due to the Virginia governor's recent ban on gatherings of 100 people or more, in response to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the Pope and Young Club has canceled its 2020 convention, scheduled for March 26-28 in Chantilly, Virginia. The Pope and Young Club website states, "The cancellation is part of a national effort to ensure the health and wellness of the public as we fight to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The Pope and Young Club apologizes for the inconvenience this has caused attendees, outfitters and vendors."

As the Club's annual convention is its primary fundraiser for the year, providing funding for conservation, education and outreach efforts, the choice has been made to move forward with the scheduled "Live Auction," as an "Online Auction." This online auction is currently open and accepting bids. It will be live-streamed beginning at 5pm EST on Saturday, March 28th. During the scheduled Live Auction, if one should choose not to bid online, bids can be called into the main office. To register for the Online Auction, follow this link.

Finally, with an eye toward planning the best 2021 convention possible, the Pope and Young Club 2020 Convention will not be rescheduled. As such, the Club is offering either a full refund for registration fees, or the option to turn them into a tax deductible donation. Conservation Drawing tickets for the Canadian Safari will need to be mailed in, to: Pope and Young, PO Box 1196, Aumsville, OR 97325. Additionally, Drawing tickets can still be purchased online at rafflecreator.com.
