The National Matches, considered America's "World Series of Shooting Sports," have been a tradition at Camp Perry for more than 100 years.

Started in 2007, the Springfield/NRA M1A Match encourages competitors to use the classic M1A rifle, the dominant competition rifle for many years before the advent of the popular of AR-15.
Firearm inventory management software MyGunDB is in its third year as a sponsor of the National Matches and will be the event sponsor for the 2015 NRA National High Power Rifle Championships. Patriot Ordnance Factory has signed on to be the event sponsor for the 2015 NRA National High Power Mid-Range Championships. The central Missouri-based company continues its support as a sponsor of the 2015 NRA National High Power Rifle Championships and the event sponsor of the NRA National High Power Long Range Championships.
