MDT has released two carbon-fiber components for hunters running XTN-interface chassis systems: the HNT Fixed Buttstock and the LSS Gen3 Hunting Forend.
The HNT Fixed Buttstock is the lightest fixed buttstock in the MDT lineup at 13 ounces. Built from a foam-filled carbon fiber shell with an aluminum fixed adapter and titanium hardware throughout, it attaches to any MDT XTN-interface chassis, including the LSS Gen3, ACC Elite and ACC Premier Gen2. LOP adjusts via an included spacer system ranging from 13.35- to 15.25-inches, depending on chassis configuration. Cheekpiece height adjusts up to 0.86 inches.
The foam-filled core damps post-shot vibration and reduces cold transfer compared to aluminum-framed alternatives. Hunters converting a folding HNT26 to a fixed setup can install the HNT Fixed Buttstock directly onto their existing chassis without additional components.
The LSS Gen3 Hunting Fore-end is a carbon fiber enclosed fore-end for the LSS Gen3 chassis body. At 5.9 ounces, it adds M-Lok attachment on the top, sides and bottom along a 14.24-inch forend length. The enclosed design acts as a mirage shield, reducing barrel heat interference with sight picture at distance. The fore-end installs without removing the barreled action from the chassis.
Together, these components give LSS Gen3 users a direct upgrade path toward a lighter, more capable hunting platform. The HNT Fixed Buttstock targets precision hunters and mountain hunters building or converting toward a dedicated lightweight rig. The LSS Gen3 Hunting Forend is built for hunters who want M-Lok capability and mirage mitigation without switching platforms.
