The new Savage 110 Predator comes equipped with Savage’s new AccuFit stock, which comes with five interchangeable combs and four interchangeable length of pull spacers so customers can customize their rifle stock for a perfect fit.

This is significant because a better fitting rifle helps shooters handle recoil more efficiently and improves trigger control, which, in turn, leads to better accuracy. The 110 Predator’s synthetic stock is covered in Realtree MAX-1 camo, and offers soft-grip panels on the pistol grip and forearm for a more comfortable and secure hold on the rifle.

Other key features include an oversized bolt knob for fast cycling with gloved hands and a detachable box magazine. Of course, the 110 Predator comes with all the standard features we’ve come to love from Savage like the adjustable bladed AccuTrigger and the AccuStock, and these rifles also come standard with two-piece Weaver bases so scope mounting is fast and easy.

Available in .204 Ruger, .223 Remington, .22-250 Remington, .243 Winchester, .260 Remington and 6.5 Creedmoor, the 110 Predator is equipped to handle a wide variety of tasks, everything from popping ground squirrels, to open-country coyote calling. The heavy-contour carbon steel barrel is fluted and has a threaded muzzle, and the entire rifle weighs in between 8.25 and 8.69 pounds—which isn’t exactly light—but for a serious long-range rig its plenty portable. With an MSRP of $899, it’s also affordable when you consider all that these rifles offer.

Savage changed our perception of what a rifle trigger should be with the introduction of the AccuTrigger, which prompted all other rifle manufacturers to up their game, and the company is throwing down another gauntlet to their competitors with the launch of the AccuFit stock. Will we see a shift toward easily customizable stock inserts of these type from other rifle manufacturers? Only time will tell. Regardless, the affordable and functional Savage 110 Predator is a great rifle at a great price.
