Camp Sycamore: A Summer of Hunting and Shooting

Campy Sycamore, which is located near Sinnamahoning, Pa., is intent upon keeping the hunting and shooting sports alive by furthering the education and enjoyment of youth who are passionate about the outdoors. During July and the first two weeks of August, Ken Penrod hosts multiple sessions for six to eight boys between the ages of 12 to 17. The cost is $850 per boy, per week or $2,000 for two consecutive weeks. In these smaller groups, one-on-one training in the following activities is possible: trout fishing; smallmouth bass fishing; largemouth bass fishing; fly fishing; first aid; photography; GPS; wildlife id; plant id; gun safety; .22-caliber target shooting; air rifle safety; shotgun safety and clay pigeon shooting; boat safety; wading safety; topo map reading and leadership.
