Weatherby has announced three new rifles in its Mark V series. Called the Mark V CarbonMark, CarbonMark Pro and CarbonMark Elite, the rifles come with TriggerTech Mark V triggers, Cerakoted metal, spiral-fluted bolts and Accubrake STs fitted on standard ⅝x24 TPI threads. All rifles also boast a sub-MOA guarantee.

In addition to the above, the Mark V CarbonMark line features lightweight BSF Carbon Barrels. BSF makes these by taking a 416R stainless-steel match barrel, roll-wrapping it with a carbon-fiber sleeve, and loading it under tension to create strength and reduce overall weight. Ninety-five percent of the carbon fiber does not touch the barrel, allowing air to foil around the steel aiding with cooling and rigidity, and reducing overall weight in the process.

Mark V CarbonMark Pro

The main point of differentiation between the three CarbonMark rifles is in their stocks. The standard CarbonMark has a hand-laid fiberglass black stock with gray and tan sponge accents, paired with an FDE receiver, trigger guard and muzzle brake. The CarbonMark Pro, on the other hand, comes with a charcoal carbon-fiber stock, accented by the tungsten on its receiver brake and trigger guard, as well as the graphite black on its bolt and safety. Finally, the CarbonMark Elite features an adjustable-comb carbon-fiber stock with brown sponge pattern. This rifle's receiver, brake and trigger guard are all Coyote Tan, while its bolt and safety lever are graphite black.

The rifles retail for $2,499, $2,999 and $3,299 respectively, and all are offered in a range of standard and magnum chamberings. For more information, please visit weatherby.com.
