By late afternoon on Porter's second day of the hunt, the rain stopped in time for him to run out with nothing more than a gun, a box call and a camera—no blind, no chairs, no decoys. Within minutes, a tom was answering! Too bad he wasn't quite ready to strut into shotgun range, but as they say in the south, "Tomorrow is another day." In the meantime, here is a glimpse of Porter's first outing in Alabama.
